(I develop under VB 6.0)
Client/Server Application with the Winsock component.
(Local Area Network under Server 2000)
I got on the net a very simple Client-Server application sample with one variable transmission:
One Databases PRODUCTS (Pdt_Code, Pdt_Name, Pdt_Price)
The Client requests for product name and the Server sends over the product price.
All these were okay for me.
Let say now we have two Tables in our Databases:
PRODUCTS (Pdt_Code, Pdt_Name, Pdt_Price)
SUPPLIERS (Sup_Ref, Sup_Name, Sup_Address)
We would like to:
1 ? Add and modify data in the databases from the Client Program
2 - select from the client program, a product in a ComboBox or ListBox which is linked to the databases and the Server to send back the price of the product, the name and the address of the supplier.
Can you please give me some samples procedures for the both client and server side ?
On what sites can I find more information and samples on this topic ?
